There's a thread on this on the RW forum. A few of us are staying over on the Saturday night.
    Hi Nick

It was at Lower Locker Farm i think.

Not the first time I'm told and I wasn't alone in being nipped. two collies off were running loose around the farm.

Do you know if Paul is doing the Blood tests again?

How much navigation is required on this, is it mainly quite simple bridleway/footpath type stuff or a bit more complex?

The organisers emailed me a route description when I entered. If anybody wants this, pm me your private email and I will forward it.

mainly easy but with a tricky 2 -3 miles after said farm through fields/woods etc this was the only time we had to conentrate on navigation.

Does any one know if the LLW is being run the same day again. this makes the cp interesting. I ran in to one two years ago and starting troughing only to find out my cp was 200m down the road

I agree with IDP about the navigation: there is one desperate section down in the south east corner. Navigation on the rest of the route is pretty straightforward.

I reckon it's a great race and well worth doing. I'm planning on doing it.

Cheers Zlod, and thabks to Swimming Dunce for the route description.

What about footwear, standard trail shoes? fell shoes? I was thinking of mizuno wave harriers?

Definitely Iain. I'll certainly be in mine. Tracks were a little muddy last time I did it but there are lots of dry tracks, certainly no steep heathery stuff.

anybody doing it for the first time..i'm sure you'll love it

great waft of fish and chips coming from the village with about 1/3mile to go..great incentive for a sprint finish
I can resist everything but temptation

I'm hoping to be there, will be the full 33 ... looks like a great run.

Will keep my need to run another ultra in check for the short term!

I'll be doing this, probably 26m route as done the 33 before and fancied a change. Somebody asked earlier, LWR is a week after this year.
