Yes, that last climb was hard work...
Great day out though and lovely to see some friendly faces from the Forum. Amex I had no energy spare to speak when we passed each other so thank you for saving some energy to call to me!!
Thanks to my husband winning 3rd male, we even came home with some chocolate!

    Well done all.
Glad I wasn't the only one who 'felt' that last climb. Eleanor can you pass on my apologies to the first lady (wearing Ambleside vest) who I mistakenly called by another name as she overtook me in the last mile! The words were positive but I was expecting it to be another female competitor who also looked strong approaching the turn at the top.

Aargh, probably won't be back from work in time now for Wild Boar, and I've put in some very wet/boggy recces trying to find that 'perfect' line off the top. Might make it back for a pint at the Fat Lamb after.

Decided to enter this race having never done any off road or fell running. Absolutely loved it many thanks to the forum for inspiring me to enter. Pleased with my time of 45 mins. Those uphill where unbelievably tough.

Great shot Andy. This certainly captures my memory of those spots well!

There seem to have been lots of positive comments from the runners.

Great photo by Andy but he has chosen to stand at the muddiest spot! Most of it was pretty dry under foot.

As I mentioned in my first post this was my first fell run....is it normal to have serious pain in your buttock muscles after this type of run? I guess some serious hill training required!
