Just announced, next month's Dark Mountains is in the Howgills, my favourite running area. So we're guaranteed to get hopelessly lost and come last (again).

Anyone else doing this tomorrow night? Weather doesn't sound too bad - at least for those of us who'll be finished before the rain arrives around dawn...
Well done Toreador - winning vets team in the long score. :-)
We dropped out halfway through unfortunately. :-(

Cheers - was please to do so well, as I've been ill for the last fortnight and almost didn't start. Apart from the pair in 1st place, we weren't too far behind - 30 points of 2nd, and the same points as 3rd, just a bit slower. Will be interesting to see what route choices were made.
Which course were you doing? Why did you pull out? The line courses all looked rather long!
Elite, and it was long! I'm still amazed that Kim Collison and Adam Perry got round in 8:35. Fantastic - they came past us at a storming pace.Originally Posted by toreador
My initial partner had pulled out with a chest infection, and I persuaded someone else to take his place literally the day before. He's normally very strong, but had recently come back from injury, and had to call it a day (night!) at our cp7. Never mind, still enjoyed the night out!

Well done on getting that far - I think even CP7 would have been beyond me!
