    Ben Lawers and Glen Lyon

Has anybody done a round involving the 7 Ben Lawers munros and the 4 to the North of Glen Lyon, Carn Gorm etc? Also wondered if it would be possible/realistic to add some additional munros in that area to create a larger round. There are 22 on the 1:25000 map of the area, but they don't form a natural line. Any advice or thoughts would be great.
    Thanks Simon

I've done them on Consecutive, great area.
I've also done the Glen Lochay 6 just up the valley, they could be linked up and I did look at it a few years ago but there were too many undiscovered hills to be repeating them. However I might head to the area again soon for some long days...I can recommend the Lochay trip for wildlife

Ian I cant i'm afraid. I just have weekend of 3rd /4th July and given my absence from the sport for sometime I think I will play safe and go for the Carn Gorm group (4 munro's), followed by Ben Laweres group (7 munro's) and may include Ben Tarmachan too if OK. probably start and finish in Glen Lyon. I think that sounds a reasonable day? Please join us though if you are free then.

I think Yiannis did something in that area a couple of years ago, might not be exactly what you are looking at. Reported in an old edition of Fellrunner.

The full 8, including Tarmachan, is cracking. Had a nice wee winter adventure over them a few years ago. Invervar makes a good start point.

you'll be much quicker in summer than the full snow, kit, pack and 3 hours of darkness that I had

Many thanks. I have been out of the sport for a year and have real trepidation over a big day out so will take it steady. have you any sense of what time the 8 should take at a BG type of pace?
