    Hello from another newbie

Hello I have been lurking for a little while and seeing the wealth of information and banter with you guys I thought it was about time that I signed up. I have been trail running for a couple of years but have a few events planned for this year that require navigation skills, so I will be trawling through the forum to see what I can pick up. Thanks for looking!

    Cheers

    Jezzlar

Brackley? Good lord man, I feel your pain.

Off to brick hill woods with you! And watch out for flying bicycles.

Oh, and welcome to the forum.

There are plenty of navigation courses that you can sign up to, I think if you're unable to read a map like me it's a must!

Just in the process of working out when I can enrol on one myself (I'm a beginner like you!)

Welcome to the forum BTW - you're gonna love it!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! go on you'll have to educate me, what's with the flying bikes?

I was thinking of doing a course in the summer at some point (a bit busy between now and then), would be interested to see which one you go for Rasher.

I'm thinking of the June course run by one of the guys on the forum called IanDarkPeak - his course looks great. You can find him around the forum a good bit of the time, or else his website is http://everythingoutdoors.co.uk/

EDIT: Of course, there are other companies and individuals who offer nav training courses, including the FRA themselves. I'm not in any way endorsing one course over another - they all look great, it's just personally Ian contacted me when I mentioned wanting to go on a course when I joined the forum.

Google brickhill woods, just south of Milton Keynes. Some good trails to be run in there, but there's also a bike park for mtbs with some jolly big jumps.
