    Hi Rasher,
The Wolfs Pit race is coming up this weekend.

    http://fellrunner.org.uk/races.php?id=2340

Its a great race and a little under 6 miles. I can recommend it if you are free.

Thanks Truck, looks like a good race, but with "ER" and "NS" requirements, that pretty much precludes me from this one I think - it will have to go on the back-burner along with at least 9 other races that have been suggested since I joined the forum... 2014 is getting busy with races already!

The nav on this one is no worse than the Wincle Trout or other races like that. I think you'd have be fine.
Hope to see you out racing soon.

I just followed the pack at Wincle, it was as close to navigation as I have gotten

I'm beginning to understand what I am seeing on the map just by using my loaf, I will get properly trained in due course though.

I'll definitely see you for the May Queen if you're running it!

Following the pack you say...You'll be amazed how many folk use that technique...

I hope to be at the May Queen this year. Also hoping to run Mount Famine the next day.
    Both top races.

Good, I will try to catch up with you then - I'm thinking the May Queen should be a fairly straightforward re-introduction to fell running and steep hills so I'm really looking forward to it!

Haha, I meant "catch up" in a social sense - but if it's a race you want...

    Re: Greetings!

Yes, thanks to several forum members I now have 6 or 7 decent training routes of varying difficulty to have a go at. Tandle Hill is local for a short sharp blast so hopefully by the time May Queen rolls round I won't be chased to the finish by the course sweeper!
