I've let other managers change their substitutions if its done before the next race, so that's fine KCR (but brave ).

So after possibly the second worst substitution ever (second only to KCR's dropping of Jasmin which must have cost him doubly!!!) it looks like a draw in the cup final...
We need a replay to settle it. With all the championship races done, lets have the settler at the British Relays next weekend.
Again choose 3 runners from your league team - they will score normal points based on how they do against the other individuals/pairs on their leg. Vets points get awarded only if they're part of a vets team, not a vet running in an open team. No female vet points since there isn't a FV category.
And then choose 5 teams. They will score points in the same way, based on how they finish overall.
    How's that sound?

Bill , we may as well not bother with the 3 runners from our league teams as we both have the same teams.lets just go for the 5 guest teams

Fair point - I hadn't spotted that you had exactly the same league teams...
That's fine with me - just choose 5 guest teams.

So do the male vets teams only score on their overall position, not their position in the vets race?

We'll treat it like one of the national championship races:
20 points to the first overall team, down to 1 point for the 20th overall team.
A bonus of 4 points for the first vets team down to 1 point for the 4th vets team.
20 points to the first womens team, down to 1 point for the 20th womans team.
    Plus a point for finishing.

So if Calder Valley vets are 3rd overall and 1st vets (just saying...) they'll get 18 points for their overall position plus 4 points as first vets plus a point for finishing = 23 points.

If any other managers want a go at the relays team selection, just for fun to see if you beat either of the finalists, then go for it.
Obviously its only BM vs LJ that counts but see if you can beat both of them anyway...

HBT, Eryri, Dark Peak, Calder Valley, Borrowdale.

    That's right LJ.
Mr B: you'd need to say if that's the men's open team in each case. Or women's team or vets team.

Final results posted. I have also amended the points from Edale (slotting Rhys into the points) and Peris (where Nicky Spinks had originally been in the results as a man).
Top scorer at Langdale was, as a fitting end to the season in which she has been the overall top scorer, Helen Fines.
The top teams at Langdale were Kendal Mint and Calder Valley Totty, both scoring 21 points from a combination of Tim Ellis and Helen.

Congratulations to Mayzis Mountain Muppets, Pigtails Plodders and LissaJous Figures for winning their leagues.

There was drama in the relegation places though... Fell Flukers (in the TSD league) and Ullswater Unattached (in the BS league) both saved themselves from relegation at the final race. The Farmers Wifeys suffered relegation instead.
But there is a tie over the relegation/survival in the TSD league between Dark Peak Special and MTs Allstars. Nothing to separate them, so we'll rule that they both stay up.

And is possibly the most shocking event, Jolivers Army have earnt promotion for the first time since we started doing this!!

The top scorers for 2013 were:
    209 Helen Fines
    188 Judith Jepson
    176 Lloyd Taggart
    151 Morgan Donnelly
    134 Victoria Wilkinson
    124 Rob Jebb
    113 Helen Berry
    112 Rob Hope
    111 Hazel Robinson
    109 Astrid Gibbs

And the best value (points per pint) were:
    109 Astrid Gibbs
    75 Tom Gibbs
    68 Sam Watson
    48 John Hunt
    31 Gill Myers
    26 Helen Fines
    26 Simon Harding
    26 Pete Vale
    26 Finlay Wild
    25 James Logue

I usually miss a new star or two each time and value them far too low. Astrid will be more than 1 pint next season! As will Tom.

So the leagues next year will comprise:

    Timothy-Sheep-Daleside league
    Another Team
