Daz H race - entries open

The Darren Holloway memorial race (Buttermere Horseshoe) entries are now open. Details are on the CFR website http://c-f-r.org.uk/node/2633. Note that the entries are to be sent to Andy Bradley, not me (the organiser).

Permissions sorted, only major issue now is the parking - we have provisionally arranged parking next to registration & the start, but this is very dependant on the weather beforehand. You could be on for a little walk before & after, keep an eye on the CFR website.

I'm looking forward to reading some discussions on route choice... just don't ask me - I don't know what's the best way for a couple of key sections.

Sent off my entry today. I never did the original race but I think I know most of it from Ennerdale/TWA/Borrowdale races.
    No country for old men.

I think there's the odd flagged section, but it's mainly on open fells.

The run out through the valley and woods will be taped. The run in will be taped, runners will not be descending the northern face of Melbreak. The tapes will pass by the kirkstile inn beer garden, it will of course be a warm summer's afternoon. After stopping for a pint there will only be 200 metres to go to the finish. The route from the bar will not be taped.
