Thats what I was thinking DT. IanFitz too. Its possible with a lot of specific training I guess, and its hard when the OP doesn't really give much detail of 'experience' but makes it sound very limited!?

Just to put something into the thread. Considering where your based, I'd get onto a plane for a training week to some decent European mountains, Pyrenees or the Alps would be my choice.
Worth building into a long term plan in my opinion. A haul up a 3000ft high mountain don't seem so big if you've trained on hauls over 3000m mountains.
