I'd love to have a crack at this (permission pending!) as it does seem reminiscent of one of stanners or kiddo's old xc routes...does it follow a similar route to the old crosshills gala fell race?

I reckon 9k is about right for my comeback after 3 years out of anything longer than 5k. 7 miles probably isn't!
Dom I have been round again today, just for you. it is 5.65 miles, which converts to 9.092km, so perfect for your rennaisance race.

I don't know why it says 7m, just ignore it. I will get it changed; I'll give it a few days before hassling Brett again, as I seem to have been making changes to the race info, on a daily basis.

Bigo yes it does and it was that which gave me the idea. Neil and Richard Tillotson used to organise that race. I think it went straight up to the pinnacles, from Glusburn. I read about it in the Rob Grillo book. I was asking the Tillotsons why they didn't organise it any more (too busy and maybe issues with road closures), so now I have a go, on their behalf. Was the Crosshills race out and back?

    PE teachers.

You know, sadistic, like inflicting pain on people, making them run fast.

    Sound familiar?
