I see there are a few forumites running against Bekele in the Great Edinburgh International XC
on Saturday, BBC1 from 1.05pm. Good luck to all.

Good to see someone entered John Brown, Salford. He's only been away for two months of is six month cycle ride. He did it bloody quick if hes back already!!!

My missus reckons that Brendan Foster was extremely dismissive and disparaging about the British lads chances in the longer race.

Apparently he mentioned Andi as a possible outsider to have a decent run and that was it. Seemingly there was absolutely no camera footage of any of the British lads during the race.

I did spot Andi and Jason several times. Andi seemed to be giving it a real go whereas Jason held back a bit. Jason must have finished well as he was just behind Thomas Abyu who was first Brit with Andi a bit further back.

In the 4K race Matt Barnes, secretary of Altrincham & District A.C., seemed to run the first lap near the back and then pick his way through the field. I think he finished 8th. He should be pleased with an excellent run (and he's top of the Forum Fantasy Football League!)

I am back. I thought I was going to die on yesterdays flight as we approached Edinburgh Bloody windy describes it!

Race was tough going, very windy and even had some md. Started well, but just really getting back in to tip top shape. Looking forward to a good Northern XC now.

On a plus side, Foster must know me now!!!!!!
