Mr Sparkle’s Dark Un competitor information

    · Please arrive in plenty of time
    · On arrival please park on the pub car park as directed by marshals.
    · The car park is small so please car share if possible.
    · Registration is in the Royal. Take your kit and torch with you for inspection.
    · Pre entries – sign next to your name and then see marshal for kit and light check. You will then be issued with your race number and free £5 Sweatshop voucher
    · Mandatory full body cover (waterproof/windproof top and pants) to be carried plus compass, whistle and map of course (download from Dashers site). If conditions demand it then a hat and gloves are suggested too. Kit is to be worn/carried when racing. No kit, no race, no arguements.
    · If you wish to carry a mobile phone with you the numbers of the race organiser and the mountain rescue will be available on the night. Please ask.
    · When racing please follow marshal’s instructions – particularly at the road crossing. If the marshal tells you to wait then you will wait.
    · Make sure that your number is visible when racing and that you know your number as you may be asked for it by a marshal on the course.
    · As far as practical please close gates behind you, you will not be expected to slam them in the person behind’s face though!
    · The course is marked and marshalled but you are expected to be a competent navigator. If you get lost and haven’t seen a marker or marshal for some time then return back to where you last saw one!
    · The course, where possible, is marked with either red and white tape or reflective tape on wooden markers. Please keep an eye out for these, especially as you cross the moor at its highest (and boggiest) point.
    · It’s going to be dark and muddy. What’s not to like? Let’s have some fun and enjoy what should be a cracking event!

I'd be happy to car share, but don't know who else is running. Any chance of an entry list?

I am unable to run tonight.
Have PMd Fishbulb so he can give my space to someone if at all possible
    Have fun!
