Pentland Skyline

Circumstances find me near the Pentland Hills nr Edinburgh for a day next week. I'm thinking of trotting around the skyline race route and wondered if anyone knows anything about it. Terrain? Ground conditions? It looks great and runnable on the map - is it?

Any insights most welcome. Really looking forward to exploring.

Hi Mark,
Yes, very runnable, Good underfoot mostly, gets a little softer from Drove Rd back to Bell's Hill.
If you're on public transport, you can get bus to ski-centre no 4 or 15.
Also, they've never refused me a locker for bags and a shower afterwards.
