As from 1 August 2007 all applications and enquiries relating to the eligibility of athletes joining English Clubs must be directed to England Athletics

This function used to be carried out by volunteers in the North of England Athletic Association for fell runners.

A small pdf file (the contents of which were less than half a page and could easily have been presented on the web page directly) disbanding regional committees and centralising things to EA. Not posted up on a day to bury bad news was it?

Well spotted Xrunner. No doubt there'll be many more inclusive decisions from EA. ( I of course do pre-suppose the FRA weren't given advance notice. If we were I of course completely withdraw my sarcasm unreservedly!)

The EA Notice is not dated!.

I was only aware of this change because a friend sent me a copy vie email.

There are a number of other changes to legislation that may affect fell running.

If you provide food to members of a club, or at Running Events, then you will have to comply with food hygiene regulations. This is also the case even if you do not charge for the food.
