New Race - Bridestone AS
Hi all,
Following on from my successful first race (Orchan Rocks), I have another race on the calender Bridestone on Tuesday 17th June at 7pm. Its a great Pennine race, with some tough climbs, fast running and demon descents. I have seen most of the farmers/landowners yesterday, just 1 landowner to see then everything is confirmed. I will post a map of the route and details of upcoming recces shortly. Hoping to see many faces old and new enjoying the paths and fields i grew up next to.

Hi all,
Nice walk around parts of the course yesterday, its quite dry but still a few wet patches lurking around. I have left a note for the guy who leases the land to contact me if there are any problems (apparently the owners don't even live nearby or come to the land). So all is now almost ready, hoping to have a first recce in the next week or 2, details to follow soon.

What's the route Dan. Does it go up the CWR leg track? Or is that the way down?

Hi MOTM,
The route starts at Harley wood playing fields. It goes up Stoney Royd Lane under the bridge, then immediately turns right up through the fields. On the way back it pops out at the corner where the trough is then returns to Harley Wood down the road past Stannally Farm. Will be posting a map in the next day or so, just finalising everything first. The first recce is looking like next week either monday or thursday evening at 7pm, then probably another one sunday 1st june in the morning.

Hi all,
As well as the facebook page for my race, I now have a website, which is via fellrace.org.uk. Basically anyone can set a race website up for free via them, aren't fell runners great. :moreclap:
The link to mine is http://bridestone.fellrace.org.uk/
Very basic but its all it needs to be.
Cheers
Dan
ps Thanks to Rhys for pointing out this amazing free website service

Only 1 day to go now guys, had a nice jog round saturday morning and its quite wet and muddy in places, should be good weather so odds on there will be no kit requirements. Will confirm tomorrow afternoon after course inspection.
Hope to see a few of you there.
Dan
