    Saw a head torch coming down Gategill last night when I took the dog out - thought it couldn't possibly be a BG attempt but just seen this thread!
    I'll be interested to hear how he found it - even in the daylight it is a pig of a descent which gets progressively steeper with heather growing across the trods to grab your ankles.
