    Trackers - BG 24/25th May

Janson Heath is off on a round as I type. Heading up Skiddaw
    http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2014.cfm?n=4

Paul Slack is also off on a round tomorrow evening at 6pm
    http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2014.cfm?n=8

For those wanting some more armchair entertainment - their are 29 hardy souls doing a 160 mile cheeky lap of the North York Moors. http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/hm16014.cfm We also have an automatic leaderboard running on this event which uses the data from the trackers http://leaderboard.opentracking.co.uk/hm16014.cfm. The fun run (110 miles) sets off tomorrow morning http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/hm11014.cfm

Jamie Lawler is setting off on a 4 day crack at the Pennine Way http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/lawler14.cfm?n=1 setting off from Kirk Yelthom at 6 tomorrow Morning.

We also have trackers on people doing the Grand Union Canal Race (Birmingham to London) and the London to Brighton Ultra.

The worlds gone mad, why is this all seemingly very normal?
Yep I know the last few lines have nothing to do with BG's - I'm very sorry if this is a heinous crime..

Just for info - there are ten BGR attempts registered for this weekend. Fortunately they are nicely spread over the three days.

Just looked at Hardmoor 160 tracker. Shelli Gordon of New Marske harriers (...my home club! ) is second overall! Awesome!

It is a remarkable thing the stuff people are doing these days! Its not that long that the LDWA 100 was almost the only event of this sort in the UK, that I was aware of, not including BG etc.

Re Pennine Way and 4 Days..

I'm pretty sure Mike Cudahy (Wild trails to Far Horizons book) did it in just under 3 days.

Is it a record attempt or just for fun?

Janson going strong. Not sure if it was a tracking time glitch but he seemed to take a long time down of blencathra over 40 mins, on a bypass right of halls fell upper ridge, but from what I could tell seemed too high on the bypass.
