Tindersticks - that potion you were drinking yesterday at the end of the (Ennerdale) race - is that the secret of your success ?
This BG round & the training therein is dedicated to the fond memory of Daz H - there is no such word as can't.

Ted Mason and Sam Watson also did ennerdale and kettlewell today finishing 2nd and 4th. Amazing running from two great lads.
Eup Daz, you're slipping up a bit lad. You missed Abbey Anninversary Race from Kettlewell on Thursday. Great race with free soup afterwards.
No, seriously though, you've had an impressive week there. Well done!
Hope to see you at Holcombe 2 Towers on Wednesday.

Hi Manhar, nice seeing you yesterday. I once read that berries are good for aiding muscle repair. Whenever doing a long race, 3hrs plus, I like to have a homemade drink consisting of black/blue berries, raspberries blended with a banana, natural yogurt and cranberry juice, taste lovely and all natural.

Hi Mark, heard some good reports today about the Abbey race, couldn't make it due to work. Doing Tebay on Wednesday, all the best for 2 Towers, that last climb is a cheeky bugger.

    Thumbs up

Another opportunity is the Wharfedale TTT at the beginning of July:

Friday night 2 mile uphill road race from Kettlewell to the top of the Park Rash road (lung-bursting)

Saturday, 12 mile fell race taking in Great Whernside

Sunday, short sharp BOFRA-style fell race of about 1.5 miles up the local limestone scar (also lung-bursting!)

I'd be surprised if "the man himself" hasn't already done it.

They seem to struggle to get decent numbers most years but it's a great weekend and right up your street Darren.

    Well worth supporting

    Hi Andy
Its a great weekend of racing, I did it 2011, but this year it clashes with one of my favourite races, Wasdale. The campsite behind the church in kettlewell is a cracking little site and the Kings Head pub is now open again. The Saturday long fell race is well worth doing even you're not taking part in the full weekend.

Just had an eventful 5 days....last Wednesday did Ravenscar Rumble on the last night of our weeks holiday in and around Whitby. Left North Yorkshire early Thursday morning for Rydal round followed by Ambleside sports. Stayed up in the lakes for Borrowdale on Saturday and called off at Farleton knott on the way home on Sunday. Chris Jackson and Caitlin Rice both Glossopdale runners did the Borrowdale/Farleton double, Caitlin had a cracking run to achieve 1st lady.
Back working nights for 2 months so will miss a good few midweekers.... In't work shite!
