    Trackers - BG 20-22nd Jun

    This weekend BG's

Max Woods http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2014.cfm?n=17 start 10pm Saturday
Simon Cartledge http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2014.cfm?n=10 start 6.30pm Friday

Each are carrying a second tracker (well I hope)
Max http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2014.cfm?n=24 enabled Heartbeat (does this improve GPRS connection / effect on battery)
Simon http://maps.opentracking.co.uk/bg2014.cfm?n=23 GPS on permanently (evaluate effect on battery - hopefully solve issues like Dow crag on Steve B's trace)

We have changed the tracking so it sends updates every 60 seconds instead of 90 seconds. Not fussed about improving trace but forcing tracker to check GSM signal more often.

Steve is still out there doing well. http://steveb.opentracking.co.uk/ for tracking geeks his tracker is updating every 60 seconds and is connected to a external battery pack with 4x AA batteries. They changed the batteries at Kirkstone pass - should last till Moot Hall.

Has Simon called off during leg 3? Looks to have turned off before Rossett. Last time I checked he was just beyond High Raise and all looked fine.

Last time I checked he had taken high level route after the Pikes and was off schedule, so not surprised

Ahhh, I'm only just glancing on my phone. Was he far off schedule?

Looks like Simon was an over an hour down at Dunmail, heading down to Styhead Tarn. Gutted for him, I should have been on leg 3 for him but couldn't make it. Another time Lantern, keep smiling
