    Ramsay Round success

Well, the guys are obviously too modest to mention it, but Lee Langdon (Pennine) and Jules Barrett completed the Ramsay Round on Sunday 22nd June in 22hrs 50mins.

This was a pretty low-key attempt with minimal recceing and not much support. Lee had done the final leg three weeks ago, then the three of us went up to recce legs 1 & 2 a couple of weeks ago and that was it. Hill support consisted of Neil Brammer meeting them on Aonach Mor with water, Masa Sakano meeting them on the Grey Corries with water, Zoe Procter ran leg 2 with them and Howard Whittaker and myself ran the Mamores with them.

I can tell you, me and Howard looked more tired than Lee & Jules at the end - that's a tough final leg!

Well done chaps - a great day out.

    Good work, guys!

Nice to see when hefty teams seem to be becoming the assumed norm and you just don't need a circus to get you round!

Brilliant performance! Having tried and failed last year on a similarly low-key attempt I know it's a really tough one, so well done to you both on the running and doing it in an understated fashion.

Geoff left out something even more impressive Lee has now done the three UK rounds. I don't know Jules so I do not know what he has behind him.

    Very well done you two!

Yes, they've both done all three now. All with pretty decent times as well.

Might be worth them letting Martin Stone know - he's keeping a list of those who've done all three of the big rounds.
