Has anyone on here ever used http://www.gear-zone.co.uk

I have a feeling I've been ripped off by them, I bought a tent from there website (well tried to buy a tent) it said on the site that the tent was in stock. After a couple of days I decided to email them and ask when they where going mail the tent out, I didn't get a reply, a few days later I had an email saying the tent was out of stock.

I emailed them to cancel the order, I was told that it would take 14 days to transfer the money back, i got my statement and they took the money out days after I'd cancelled the order and it's now 6 weeks and they've not transfered the money back.

I have used them a few times way back in the past and they have been fine.

HOWEVER I then recommended them to a friend of mine who tried to buy some stuff and had similar experiences as you describe, twice! He got his money back and everything without a fight, but they are just very very sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooow at responding to anything.

Sounds like they are best to be avoided.

Yes they are slow and they aren't responding to my emails about giving me my cash back.

I do find that a lot of online companies have very poor customer service

have you rang them hopey
always find direct contact better than e mails
its one of the reasons why i just go into the shop and buy it there and then , sometimes a tad more expensive but you have your goods instantly
