Hello fellow runners. My name is Chris Scammell. I am a fell runner from Cockermouth. I ran the BG back in 2010 in 19h.39m.
I hesitate to post something that could be construed as commercial on this forum, but I think many of you will be genuinely interested in this. I make highly scale accurate raised relief maps, or map sculptures as I call them, of my home fells and other areas. Pictured above is a map of the Bob Graham route. It measures 500mm x 650mm x 50mm. This on is cold cast in bronze but I can also do them in other metals as well as wood and stone. Runners are welcome to pop in to my studio and study the map to help piece together the route in their head.
