    Italian race results

I did a trail race in the Aosta valley last week, the "Tour du Gran Paradiso", and am struggling to find results anywhere. I don't think the race has a website so was wondering if anyone knows of a central results list for Italian athletics (similar to UK Results over here) that might be of use?

The race was actually split into "competitive" and "non-competitive" (both ran at the same time) and I got shunned into the "non-competitive" race (I think because I didn't have an ID card, I just got pointed to non-competitive registrations when I tried to register!). As such I'm not expecting to find myself on the results, but I'm interested to find where I came compared to the competitors (I think I was 30-40th overall). Ironically, I came first out of the non-competitors by quite a long way...

It was a great race, about 400 people entering which lots of support on route. Only 14km but three drinks station which, all of which had hot tea and lemons on offer as well; surely a hot drink and a lemon is the last thing you want when running?! Lots of watermelon and bread on offer at the end, the watermelon being an excellent idea.

Back from four months in Italy where I had the devils of a job entering races. I too ended up in 'non competitive' races which were usually shorter(I would have won one off roader but the marshals thought I was in the competitive race and sent me round the long way!) I finally managed to get into the Sinis Nature Trail race a wonderful slightly hilly race in the dunes of North East Sardinia - the results were all over the place but I had a good race to finish in 1.43.48. I was accepted for the Cagliari Half Marathon in December and having a letter from FIDAL Roma (the governing body in Italy) felt confident going to collect my number - the chap (wearing a blazer) on the desk then wanted an Italian registration and medical certificate and wouldn't let me in. I complained loud and long and was eventually taken to one side and given a number. I raced off into the distance to find that I was down as Roberto Melargus in the results - to keep me quiet they'd clearly given me a number which was for another runner who'd not turned up. Still overall I enjoyed running over here - they take it very seriously though!
