Well done to Steve Rhodes (spr) on successfully completing his BG on Saturday. A great effort and a cracking weekend to be on the hills among friends. Fantastic support from all his road crew too, great cake ;-)

Is that Steve Rhodes the climbing fireman?
Well congratulations to him. Met him after the Frostbite 30 last December having not seen him for years - he used to live round the corner from us.
Just heard that David Fountain successfully got round in about 23:30, this despite being way behind schedule at Wasdale due to the awful weather yesterday. He delayed his start until 4.00pm yesterday to try and avoid the worst of it, but I know that it was terrible on leg 2 and presumably not much better on leg 3. He must have had a storming leg 4 and 5, bloody good effort David.
Well deserved - he's put a lot into this. Chapeau.

Was this the chap my missus and i saw yesterday as we were running down Dale Head to Honister? We saw a group that was unmistakably a BGR group on leg five (fit looking runners moving slowly, one of them looking like death....) - i shouted over some words of encouragement and crossed my fingers? We also met a group at Honister that were waiting for their contender. Hope both made it...
I believe Rachel Findlay-Robinson of KeswickAC (ex Dark Peak) (RhysFR's sister) has just snuck in under the 24h after being 30mins or so down at Wasdale. She's raising money for Cancer Research in memory of her mum Susan

Am updating my personal BGR fastest times list, to include fabulous times by Rob Jebb and Jasmin Paris. Have I missed any other fast ones in the last two years or so? Anyone else cracked a sub-18 time recently?

I can run through the ratification database when I get home to find out. You could check the annual report I post here and on the club website which will give you the fastest times (male and female) as an interim check.
Before anyone gets too excited, this is just for the last couple of years since I took over as Membership secretary from Brian Covell. Getting everything into it is an ongoing project
Edit: Just checked and there was a 17:59 in 2012
