Just heard that David Fountain successfully got round in about 23:30, this despite being way behind schedule at Wasdale due to the awful weather yesterday. He delayed his start until 4.00pm yesterday to try and avoid the worst of it, but I know that it was terrible on leg 2 and presumably not much better on leg 3. He must have had a storming leg 4 and 5, bloody good effort David.

Well deserved - he's put a lot into this. Chapeau.

We saw a group that was unmistakably a BGR group on leg five (fit looking runners moving slowly, one of them looking like death....) - i shouted over some words of encouragement and crossed my fingers? We also met a group at Honister that were waiting for their contender. Hope both made it...

Before anyone gets too excited, this is just for the last couple of years since I took over as Membership secretary from Brian Covell. Getting everything into it is an ongoing project
