Thread: Osteitis Pubis

OP is curable, its just finding the correct physio to address it. I would recommend athlete matters and Duncan Mason, he sorted me out. Seeing the physio is half the problem, the other half is undertaking good core stability programme.
The other physio is Alison Rose in Leeds- she is also very good.
    Good luck!

I can see light at the end of the tunnel, finally!

    Timeline:
July 2014 - GP - suspected mild groin strain
    August 2014 - physio/ultrasound - suspected inguinal hernia
September 2014 - suspected osteitis pubis
October - physio - suspected sportsman's going (athletic pubalgia)
November - consultant - rest and wait for MRI - hunch that it is athletic pubalgia
December - MRI showed adductor inflammation, pubis inflammation - rest 4-6 weeks with physio sessions
January - orthopaedic consultant - hips ok, injection into adductor tendon, relief for 24 hours then back to how it was (
Yesterday (28th Jan) - consultant surgeon - booked in for inguinal ligament release next week )

OP done, bilateral inguinal repair with ligament release. Still sore after 7 days but mobility is better every day. Not rushing things, advice is core work after two weeks then slowly build in some jogging and cycling over the following weeks. Hoping it's done the trick otherwise it's curtains.
