looking at my training for the lakeland 100 and after some circular routes in lakes of ~ 30 miles.

    Any recommendations?

Tour de Helvellyn route? A full Langdale skyline wouldn't be far off 30 miles (and if not why not start in Gramere or around Three Shires stone?)

Legs 1& 2 come to about 24 miles. One way back might be via Greenup Edge then High Tove et al. though it's not nice running (or walking).

Ullswater round starting from Pooley Bridge?

4 x 3000s is a fairly decent day out, despite the road (which can be avoided if you really want to).

Luxinterior, the LL100 is all about running on crap and rubble and if you really want the full on LL100 experience just run up and down the Walna Scar Road back and forth between Coniston and Seathwaite for 30 miles .

A tad more helpfully, how about the route of the 4 Lakeland Passes from Rothswaite via Styhead to Wasdale, then heading over to Buttermere via Black Sail and Scarth Gap and then continuing with the LL100 route following it as far as you want to in the direction of Braithwaite (include the climb to the pass to the east of Sail if you can) before cutting back east (via Causey Pike?) towards Little Town and maybe heading over the south side of Cat Bells back into Borrowdale? I'm not sure how long that would be but I'm guessing 25 to 30 miles. It would be a cracker and give you a real feel for the terrain

The 4 Lakeland passes and the LL100 both go over the exact same path from Wasdale over to Buttermere so there's on route training including the two biggest climbs of the whole thing

Another vote for the Ullswater round. I did this in preparation for my JNLC. Basically do the JNLC route as far as Seat Sandal, then head over to Dollywagon, Helvellyn etc. as far as Sticks Pass. Glencoyne, Dowthwaite Head, Dockray, Gowbarrow, Bennethead. It's a great day out - about 60km and 3000m+ ascent.
