I'll let you know when I'm going out. Will probably pluck up some courage after Easter. I hear that Rydal is a favourite spot for training - maybe it is warmer. I'm planning on going down to Troutbeck pool one Tuesday or Friday for some training with Westmoreland Tri. I'll let you know.

I went down to Troutbeck a few weeks ago. Its pretty decent if you want some advice/tips, training ideas etc. I was glad I went but I felt my own swimming training 'regime' was working quite nicely and I had nothing extra to gain from going. Plus they wanted me to join at 30 quid for the season...
Why walk when you can run.

This triathlon lark gets expensive taking it seriously. I don't mind paying for a session or two though, to alter my thrashing about in the pool towards some sort of technique. Someone told me that there are a couple of swimming events coming up in Windermere over the summer which I might have a go at. If I find any details I'll post the link. I'm off for a google....

I've entered a practice one in May and one in June - £25 each!

At that price I expect maidens to towel me try in the first transition, and more of them to fasten my running shoes in transition two.

    £25 per maiden isn't a bad rate.
