Congratulations Tim - very well done in what must have been pretty horrible weather conditions.

I spoke to one of your leg 5 pacers at Weasdale - hope he was able to keep up with you ok!

Well Done, indeed. Conditions were foul on top of the langdales and rote finding must've have been a challenge.

Helped out as summit time recorder on Leg 4 of Tim's anti-clockwise round. Tim was moving well in very trying conditions - was mist bound all the way round but navigation was doubly difficult in the dark and indistinct flat tops of the Dodds. I really enjoyed the experience and was just glad that I didnt have the responsibility of navigating! Well done Tim for an excellent effort in such difficult conditions on every leg. Hope you recover well enough to consider the Ben.
This is the 3rd time I've helped out on a BG and I am looking forward to getting good visibility and hopefully a moonlit night on the fells!
    Who's next for an attempt?

If it was at about 6.30am, then it could have been our lot. We had pair of runners start a clockwise round at 11pm Friday night, and they came through Dunmail Raise at 7am Saturday morning. One of them, Bill Edwards, made it round, in 23:40.

I think I heard some of our support team say they'd seen someone going clockwise on a quick schedule, so that must have been you guys.

The weather was crap, so finishing was a real achievement in whatever time!

Tim, Fantastic effort, the Clayton BG Machine just keeps rolling on. They pull you around what ever the weather. Sorry I missed supporting you. Perhaps next year when the weather is much kinder. And I have'nt got Uni duties !!
Well done, will buy you a Ben Nevis Race pint in the Grog & Gruel week on saturday. See you then.
    Cheers Pete.
After climbing a great hill one only finds that there are many more hills to climb ......

Does that mean you're going to give it a go next year Pete? We need someone else to have a go now we are getting back into the swing of things.
