    i would love to talk to someone who had actually seen coppi ride his bianchi.

    Fraid I'm not an expert on cycling history, though the name Curwen Clague is indeed well known to me. As is Tom Simpson. Think I need to read up a bit more about the old heroes. I'll ask around though, sure there must be some.

    Always remember the TT course race, that was great, 3 laps of the course, closed roads made for an excellent road race. Shame the cycle week over here is dead now. :-( Many fond memories of it. Would have loved to ridden in it!!
