    Windproof Jacket Advice

Can anyone recommend a decent windproof jacket?

I have an OMM waterproof jacket but have been advised to supplement my equipment for winter running with a decent windproof. Packability would be a plus but less than £100 would be ideal.

    Thanks

OMM sonic smock is pretty good. Packs down to nothing, 52g and about £50.
Also recommend the Montane Featherlite smock - twice the weight but otherwise comparable to the OMM

    Hey up Rasher.
Montane have a good range http://www.montane.co.uk/range/men/windproof. I can recommend the Featherlite Marathon.

Haglofs have few http://www.haglofs.com/en-US/product...s/intense/men/ top quality but can be expesive. Recomended.

Also Rab http://rab.uk.com/products/mens-clothing/windshell/ not used the windproof stuff but I like the fit and design of Rab jackets.

While not completely windproof, I can highly recommend the Montane Trail Star (which Montane seem to have discontinued - so can be had for a very reasonable £29 ish)

It's basically a very light, thin, soft-touch fabric, which cuts out about 50 - 75% of the wind. Coz some breeze gets through the fabric you never get too sweaty, and it wicks well any way.
