Hi, I'm intrigued by the new Swim Run events coming to the UK this year (details on FB) but they are a paired event and I don't know any willing open water swimmers. Anyone vaguely interested in swimming lochs and running islands alternately? Expensive but looks kinda fun.

I think I know the ones you mean. I'm doing the first leg of the Dover-Calais event. It's a 400 yard sprint from the cliff foot to the shoreline. I'm hoping to get a good set-off time then the tide will be in. I'm also hoping my leg will be faster than the swim time.
