Great conditioning for most sports but with all the unusual motion in fell running, arms windmilling. leaning, bending and trying not to fall over I'd say core strength is essential.
I should declare an interest though; the Mrs teaches Pilates........ does a few classes in Silsden too!

I live in silsden but the Pilates class is just down the road at Eastburn.
Second one tomorrow night, looking forward to it already.

Jolly popular here in Ambleside - my partner has been on the waiting list for Pilates sessions for nearly 6 months - dead men's/women's shoes it would seem.

Do you do much in your own time, away from the classes?
I want to but always seem to struggle to find the time - I need to organise my life better, probably!

Thats the intention, each class I have been too so far has been different so the plan is to learn at the class and then have a routine to do at home, need to master some moves/positions to ensure am doing it correctly. Not sure how many times a week is the optimum amount, would think it needs to be more than one 1hr class.
