2015 FRA England Fell & Mountain 14-16 Development Camp

This year’s pre-season junior development camp will be held on Sunday March 15th at Sedbergh School at 10:00 until 16:00.
This camp is aimed at establishing the building blocks of future high performance by building skills and knowledge amongst junior runners and coaches. It is intended to enjoyable, stimulating & interesting with the day being delivered by a team of experienced coaches, physiotherapists and sports scientists as well as inputs & insights from elite athletes.
This will be more an educational than training camp with topics including nutrition, injury prevention, recovery strategies, training & race planning, performance psychology and running technique.
There is no intention of doing a training session however there will be some drill work & stretching during the day that athletes will be asked to participate in, the option of an easy run will also be available.
There will be nominal fee of £10 for attendance, this does not include lunch.
To attend, athletes must be between 14 -16 and racing in the FRA U16 age group this season.
Athletes should have demonstrated ability by being:
- Placed in the top 10 in any FRA English Championship race.
- Placed consistently in BOFRA races.
- Reached County level at cross country.
- Running fast times on the track or road.
