    Question Joss Naylor Lakeland Challenge

I have just decided to do the JNLC in the M65 + catagory. My pacer for the whole route will be my son Steve (an experienced fell runner but only a lad in his 40's).
I have the sample schedules from Monica Shone but would be very grateful for any accounts and advise from you 65+ boys (or girls) who have already completed the route.
All being well we will make our attempt on the weekend of August 25th, probably leaving Pooley Bridge at midnight on Friday, a deffinate start time will be decided within the next few days.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thanks Nee Bother.
However sorry to report we will have to postpone the attempt. I picked up a calf strain last week whilst doing a training run around the Edale Skyline. I'm convinced it's because I was running in a newly purchased pair of Inov-8 Mudclaw 330's. The first two times I ran in them I got blisters, (which I never ever get) and now this calf problem, which I think has been reported before in the Fell Runner. In more than 20 years of using Walshes Ive never had a problem like this.

I thought I should give the 330's a chance because of all the publicity they seem to get. I'm very dissapointed and have now lost confidence in using them. I will be talking to Inov-8 to see what they have to suggest.

    All the best:
    Keep on running:

    Zen
