It looks like either Simon Bailey or Rob Hope can seal the English champs with a win at Great Whernside. Although if Rob wins with Simon 2nd they'd both end up on 199 points (1st, 1st, 3rd, 4th versus 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd).

A tie on points happened between the same pair in 2005, both having 2 x 1st and 2 x 2nd.

Another message of much thanks and congratulations to the organisers of yesterday's event!
A real shame that the show was cancelled, but they did us proud with the teas at the end.
It was worth a knackered achilles this morning to have been up there!
Off to fetch the ice pack!

How many brave souls took on the challenge of two races in one weekend: with Sedbergh today?
I heard there would be a prize for the quickest joint time(s). Who is your money on??

Graham, I just hadn't appreciated how advanced Yorkshire really is , or is this an advanced form of predictive text?

ps That last descent is very good, it allowed me to catch up a few places!

I did, and am nicely trashed this morning.

Joe Symonds won male and Aly Raw the female 'combined' prize.

    Cheers, Ali

Well I really enjoyed the race. Many thanks for the good organisation & nice atmosphere for the race. Would have been even better if the show had been on but the tents to keep dry in and the refreshments after were very welcome!

It was my first English Champs race and even at the back of the field it was nice being cheered on and getting sup.
