PM me if you want my track from last year. If you have any mapping software, let me know which it is, and I'll try to send you the correct format, otherwise, it will be a PDF.

This is one of the best courses I've ever ran on. A good mixture of stuff- gradual and steep climbs with a super descent that goes on for ages. Exhilarating stuff.

Starts at Newbiggin, cross-country section to get to Weasdale farm then up a long runnable ridge over Hooksey (will suit you Grifter!), down to cross Leathgill Bridge and then a short steep pull up onto Randygill Top. A fast run along the ridge path to Green Bell then a long easy angled downhill run (hardly worth calling a 'descent') back to Weasdale and back across the cross-country section.

It's a great race if you like lots of fast running on grassy fell terrain.

No, I'm doing a long gentle run around Littondale. I haven't raced for a while - it was getting too knackering!!

But I'll be back... (as somebody or other once said)

    Have a good run!

Sounds up my street after my disaster at both Sedbergh and Borrowdale. Sounds just right for someone who's crap at descending and seems to run out of energy after 2 hours - always been crap at steep descents and currently seem to exhaust myself without trying.

also i believe something to do for the missus - not got calendar with me
