    Big Toe

My big toe is really aching after I have been running - it is not black or swollen but really painful

Can you pull anything in a big toe - any advice on what I should do apart from rest it?

Probably Gout, lay off the port for a while.
Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run

If it is gout its a swine. I got mine under control by cutting right down on red meat, shellfish, and beer and drinking a lot of water.

It seems to be triggered by things like stubbing your toe - I had to give up climbing cos standing on small edges would trigger it. The doctor gave me some strong anti iInflammatory’s (naproxen) which i take as soon as i feel a twinge.

I’m OK with running again now but am a bit careful on the descents…
