    Favourite Wild Camp Spot

I'm hoping to do a bit more wild camping this summer & wondering what people's favourite spots are? I had a memorable one atop Simons Seat overlooking the Dales last year. Watched the sun set with a hot bowl of cous cous & a fine malt. Then watched it rise with a bowl of porridge.

For me it is where ever I happen to pitch up after a long hard day in the hills, ten t/ bivvy up, brew on, food and map out planning the next days shuffle.

South Harris. near Sgarasta Mhor, being swooped by a squad of geese migrating, then swimming with dolphin. It's amazing.

Not telling you ..... or the next time that I rock up there it will be swarming with forumites and the "wild" will have disappeared!
I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

In my mum's greenhouse; winter 1983. I'd lost my key and couldn't get in the house. It was freezing and I woke up covered in wood lice. Our youth slept on the drive one night after a heavy night at the Boot. It was summer and he nearly got away with it until mum spotted his glasses outside and the jumper he'd used as a pillow; still with a dent in where his head had been.

Don't blame you! I wondered who'd be the first to refuse to divulge a secret spot!
