This Indian simple sugar was mentioned in 'Indian cooking made easy' . It was recommended to clear airways, the presenter recommended it to firemen. Its best melted in a pan , throw some nuts in to coat them and pour onto a foil lined baking tray and leave to cool.
It's bloody lovely , maybe a good food for some races too. its like soft toffee. You can get it in asian grocers , it comes in a sort of block, dome shaped.
Hope thats of use to anyone. I doubt it's an illegal substance. Maybe the Tour de france will try it.
