Ah yes the fairies. Russell hunter and twink - two great drummerS in a band that meant more to many than their music. There are some festivals that keep the spirit alive without having to partake in tai chi and singing bowl workshops but they are few. None I frequent are free though.....

Going downhill fast
Just after the first Glastonbury festival, a friend I and camped rough in the village swing park. I can recall lots of the local shops and pubs having prominent notices stipulating 'NO HIPPIES'. I suspect that local businesses may, with passing years, have come to appreciate the boost to their trade.
