    Glastonbury 1971

I thought the Pink Fairies were pretty far out. Two drummers - what? And Traffic were pretty good. And it was free too...

Respect, wish I had been brave enough to go then. Those were the days, before all them fancy toilets for the hoi poloi.
Don't roll with a pig in poo. You get covered in poo and the pig likes it.

Ah yes the fairies. Russell hunter and twink - two great drummerS in a band that meant more to many than their music. There are some festivals that keep the spirit alive without having to partake in tai chi and singing bowl workshops but they are few. None I frequent are free though.....

Just after the first Glastonbury festival, a friend I and camped rough in the village swing park. I can recall lots of the local shops and pubs having prominent notices stipulating 'NO HIPPIES'. I suspect that local businesses may, with passing years, have come to appreciate the boost to their trade.

Too right. In fact I didn't see toilets of the like until I ran the LAMM. I'll try to look out a photo...

Not for the fainthearted, but these were the Glastonbury toilets in 1971. Not sure which band he was in...
