    Fastest BG times

Following on from Jasmin's fantastic run last week I've updated the club website with the splits for the fastest mens' and ladies' summer and winter rounds. In doing so I noticed that Jasmin is also the fastest lady in winter and that hers and Konrad's time was the forth fastest recorded to date - Jim Mann (twice) and Ricky Lightfoot being the only quicker times.

Here are the direct links though they are also linked from within the record and winter pages of the site. Just writing them out made me realise just how fast you need to move over the fells to achieve something like this.

    Mens Summer - http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/inde...rd=mens_summer
    Mens Winter - http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/inde...rd=mens_winter
    Ladies Summer - http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/inde...=ladies_summer
    Ladies Winter - http://www.bobgrahamclub.org.uk/inde...=ladies_winter

Reading Billy's splits (which i;ve never dome before) and comparing them to a standard 23.5 set of splits (the ones still in my head!) is staggering. Some of those leg three splits are amazing, well they all are but blimey.

BTW you need to swap Scafell and Scafell Pike around in the tables

I hadn't realised until I was typing in the figures that Billy took a 13min break at Honister, all his other stops were in the order of 3mins. His time of 32mins up Yewbarrow after 40 miles of running is amazing - I've never got near that time even when fresh.

    Fixed the Scafell/Pike ordering :-)

Bob, Great addition to the site- just a quick note- on the winter rounds page you have Jasmin and Konrad doing their winter rounds a month apart... Think the Feb date is the correct one.

Doh! A copy and paste error! Yes, it's the Feb date that's correct.

Billy explained the circumstances around that Honister stop when I interviewed him in researching my BGR book. So, what can I say but, to understand it better - read 'The Round'!

Billy was tired and had a sit down

I thought I'd deleted the Round from my Kindle but it's still on. I don't think I got that far when I tried reading it
