Thread: Best post-race grub

  1. #21
Cross du Mont Blanc in Chamonix was pretty good, I got a 500ml Salomon soft flask filled with beer at the finish line, and the post race meal (which cost 12EUR) in the sports centre was huge stacks of roast beef, ham, salads, french bread, red/white/rose wine, more beer, tea/coffee, soup, cakes, cheese platter, 3 types of mineral water. It was truly epic.

Cheese sarnies and tea in the Rosthwaite Institute after Borrowdale are pure nectar....

(mind you, the cakes at the end of Coledale Horseshoe are pretty good too!)
