£145 shoe WTF

on the theme of value for money in fell shoes, I spotted that Millets had Inov8 265 (blue version) available for £60 recently. I don't think you can do much better than that for hard-wearing well performing fell shoes, other than the NB MT00v2 when it was available at sportsshoes for £45.

The big problem with all fell shoes though is finding out the best size (for you) of a particular brand and then seeing if they suit your foot shape too.

And then immediately buy as many pairs as you can afford, as they're bound to change the design next year and they'll no longer fit.

What I know now is that Inov8 and Walshes fit me perfectly so long as I buy an 8.5 in Inov8 and a 9 in Walshes. My 'normal' shoe size is 8 by the way.

My normal shoe size is 8.5, and Inov8 size 8 is a perfect fit for me!

Blimey! These Inov8s are only 25 quid cheaper. Must be the 'X-Lock upper system' gizmo!

I got mine for £108 with a pair (well should've been but I got 2 pairs) of socks chucked in. Admittedly still very expensive. But way better than any Salomon footwear I've ever had. Especially the Fellraisers, which I find to be pretty much gripless.
