Comments are heartfelt and appropriate - I'm going to the race in Oswestry tomorrow night and I'll print this lot out for Doug's wife Margaret.

    Re: Doug Morris

My family & I were very saddened to read this on return from our holiday. Our thoughts are with his family.

We went to many of Dougs races in the knowledge that there would always be a junior race for the kids & somewhere for them to get a piece of cake & a drink in shelter while I was off racing.

I saw Doug twice in the week before I went on my holidays. On the Thursday he was competing while I was watching & we exchanged a bit of banter as he had missed the start. On the Friday night I took a friend, my daughter & one of her friends to the Packwood 4 where we all had a great time & came away with a small prize.....this was no great achievement, anyone who had the manners to stay for Dougs presentations had a great chance of a prize.

It is some small consolation that he passed away whilst still being more active than many 20 year olds, few people will leave such a large footprint.

I've just decided I don't trust you anymore.
