    Announcement -Tanky Stoke

    Dear all
It is with great sadness that I have to announce the passing of Bryan (TANKY) Stokes on Saturday 19th December 2015. He has gone to the eternal fells, mountains and lakes to cause havoc the way he did best.
He knew many and will be greatly missed although the past few years has been difficult with the deterioration of his health to dementia.
    RIP TANKY, MY DAD X

Very sorry to hear this sad news. Tanky's Trog was, indeed, a unique race.

    Sorry to hear this Clare.

Tanky's was always a tough race and I've many fond memories and some painful ones of the peak classic.

I always enjoyed a cupper in the shop with him.

We remembered him the pub tonight, thought are with you all.
