Great to be back for my first race after a long injury lay off. Slow time but enjoyed my first V50 nonetheless. Excellent race all round really. Only downside was getting the van stuck in the car park twice! Big thanks to the lads that helped push me out. I will also be registering as Mr Aardvark next year to avoid the queue for numbers....

Will try not to keep you at your marshalling points WD, Geoff B too long.
Well done Manhar, you stuck to your task.

Having "click" counted all the Anni Waltzers, by the time you came through, I was able to take an interest in TWA proceedings and give you a shout.

I was a bit of an oddball until I was abducted by aliens; but I'm perfectly OK now!

I'm pretty certain that GeoffB and IWCharters were "incumbents" of the Dale Head parish.

Don't forget the random abuse too "captain shuffle, come on its supposed to be a race" ha ha ha

Great race as always, top job by all involved and I reckon it was my quickest waltz yet by around 14 minutes!

Good to catch you briefly Ian on your way down after doing your stuff.

I trundled happily off Robinson and on to Stair (enjoying the undeserved applause ;-)) but suffered getting from there back to Scotgate. 6.5 hours was probably 1.5 too many. Longest outing since the accident.

    Keep smiling. :-)

Hurray, I made it round and my knees survived the descents to the point that I actually remembered how much I love descending (even if I'm not as fast as the fearless people!). What a stunning day too, the views were amazing and we dodged most of the snow. I've got DOMS for the first time since the LL100 which makes me wince but happy

Thanks very much to everyone that was involved in running it.

Aha - that explains it then.

Thank you to the RO's & marshals, for their patience in waiting for me, especially the marshals at & beyond Robinson when it was very much a case of the loneliness of the long distance plodder. Was treated like royalty at Hindscarth with a brew & a kit kat, was that you W Donkey ?

Did manage to overtake a waltz runner on the way to Cat bells but then promptly regained my (last) position when I carried onto the track to the car park before being called / "escorted" back to the finish by another helpful finish attendant.
This BG round & the training therein is dedicated to the fond memory of Daz H - there is no such word as can't.
