    Smile Bob Graham attempt 25/6

    Hi everybody,

    Pete Hutchinson and myself are planning a BG attempt on 25th June 2016 starting at 2359hrs and aiming for a 23 1/2 hour schedule as indicated on the BG Harveys map.

    We have some help for the sections Dunmail to Honister and from Honister to Keswick, but would greatly appreciate extra help in these sections and help for the rest of the round in terms of guides and pacers please.

    We are both dyed in the wool long distance ultra runners. Pete completed the Lakelands 100 and the Grim Reaper in 2014, one week apart! I am a long term long distance fell runner now specialising in long distance off road ultras with a lot of climb in them. This year I have just completed the Hardmoors 110 in 31h 35m and last year completed the Hardmoors 55, Skye trail Ultra and CCC of the UTMB. We both now feel we would like to try something really iconic. Pete is 58 and I am 67 years old. We have already been round nearly all of the route and will have the rest done shortly.

    Any advice and offers of help would be very gratefully received.

    Hi Sandy, do you still need help this weekend? I'm happy to do a couple of legs, ideally one and two as like to get a bit of nighttime running in. Happy to be a mule and to do a bit of navigation, know legs 1+2 pretty well though my lines aren't necessarily always spot on

    Thank you very much for your kind offer which we would like to accept. Legs 1 & 2 would be great.

    The support at the moment is Mark Baddeley on leg 1, Simon Blackman leg 2 & 3, Dave Swift leg 3 & 4, Chris Rainbow leg 3 & 4, Scott Gillespie & Cheryl Baker on leg 5. Your help would be very welcome.

    The start will be 2359h on Saturday 25th June from the Moot Hall. We're hoping to get a meeting somewhere in Keswick on the Saturday afternoon if you would like to be there. My email is [email protected] if you would like to get in touch to exchange contact details.
