    Pendle 3 Peaks info

Hello everyone, just a couple of bits of race info to keep everyone up to date:

    1) The waiting list is now 83 strong, so anyone who is now unable to run that has already entered can receive a refund of £5 and allow their place to be released and someone from the waiting list to enter. Runners are selected by me unless the current runners suggests someone who is already on the waiting list. If you are not on the waiting list you will not be considered. You can enter the waiting lists by entering the race as normal and following the instructions.

    2) Please car share, we may have access to a farmers field, which will mean no issues with parking. However, this is weather dependent.

    3) RECCEs for the race route:
    Garry Wilkinson
[COLOR=rgba(3, 3, 3, 0.701961)]has kindly offered to take runners around on the following dates, please contact him by clicking on his name and emailing him to let him know if you will be attending. Monday July 11th at 10:15am, Tuesday 19th July 6:30pm and Thursday 11th August 11th 6:30pm.

    Thanks

Hello everyone, we have been working hard to accomodate runners who have been on the waiting list for the longest, we have sent several request out for invites and runners have not replied or taken up the invite. Therefore any runner who has had an invite previously will not receive a further one and we will begin to move further down the waiting list. What we need, is to make sure we get as many runners as possible and for people who have no intention of running to let me know, via the email. This will mean that we can invite those who have yet to be invited and get the partial refund of £5 out to the runners who can't run. Please let me know via email (not on the thread) if you would like to cancel your place and receive the partial refund and free up your place to another runner.

In so far as the route and race, we have had several recees of the route and some great feedback on this tough but enjoyable course.
We are also hoping (thanks to SportIdent who will work very closely with on several events) to have splits and position data for each checkpoint at the finish.

    Many Thanks

Evening everyone, we are closing the whole entry process for the race at midnight on Friday 12th August. Anyone who can no longer run if you could please let us know and we can look at getting some more of the waiting list runners into the race. Please note, there will be no edits to entries after this and no entries on the day.

There will be an update on the parking situation later next week and we are hopeful that the farmers field will be a goer, which will mean there will be no issues relating to any limits on parking.

Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you all on race day.

Hello everyone, we have now closed all possible edits and waiting lists for the Race.
This is slightly earlier than the midnight deadline, but everyone has accepted the invites sent and the race is now full and no further changes can be made.

We have aquired the use of a farmers field with very good grounds and access and this is the main car park for the event. Marshals will direct you to this field. There is space for 700 vehicles so it will be ample for our needs. Please do not park on Barley Village Car Park unless you are dropping off a club tent or shelter. We are trying to keep this clear to allow public access as normal. Please also avoid parking in the village on the roads. Our carpark will charge you £1 which there farmer is collecting so please have the change ready. This is actually cheaper / the same price dependant on your vehicle than the standard car park.

On Race day Pete Bland and Up and Running will both have stalls with kit for this that need any last minute essentials.

Race Maps, for those who have not purchased them already can be purchased on the day for £3, any who have pre purchased them can collect them with your race number on race day.

On race day the number and SI Card collection will take place on the village green. This is only a small walk to the start. Please bring your full kit to registration where we will select randomly people for full kit inspection. On the day you will collect your numbers (and maps for those who have purchased) and then take your number to the table behind to collect your dibber. Please note that you must pass through the finish and have your dibber removed. Without this we cannot give you your time or make sure that we know that you are safely back with us.

Prize giving with be at approximatly 2:30pm in the main marquee and includes prizes for the top 10 men and women and vets prizes. 1 prize per individual.

The village green has its own cafe and the Pendle Inn have supported the race so please have food and drinks after the race.

The only change that may be necessary maybe the use of the public car park, the weather is looking decent so hopefully are plan can be used.

I will update during the week, many thanks

lookslike we'll be sharing the fell with a coach load of walkers, then:
    http://www.visitpendle.com/countryside/walking-festival

    "Saturday 20th:
The Three Peaks of Pendle: We start with a bus journey to Barley (included in the cost) and set off on a challenging walk to
    ascend the Three Peaks...
Pendle Hill via Ogden Cloughs: 5.5 miles - Moderate - 10.30am Meet at Barley Car Park"
    ....it's all downhill from here.
